The problem
A task lived in one tool, the conversation in another, and the decision in a meeting nobody recorded.A task lived in one tool, the conversation about it in another, and the decision in a meeting nobody recorded. Reconstructing why something changed meant asking three people.
What we did
The conversation lives on the task, meetings produce artefacts, and one event stream keeps every view in agreement. We put the conversation on the task rather than beside it, and made meetings produce artefacts instead of notes. Real-time sync was built on a single event stream, so a board, a chat thread and a meeting summary can never disagree about what happened.
The result
Three subscriptions and about half the status meetings gone, with decision history on the task itself.Teams dropped three subscriptions and about half their status meetings, and the history of a decision is now on the thing the decision was about.
The first week felt like losing tools. By the third week nobody could remember why we had four of them.
